“Our diversified business structure was intentionally built to create lasting impact and expand our reach across local communities.” — Amb. Chioma Lynda Onwuka
the founder of CLO Group, Onwuka has strategically built a network of companies across multiple sectors, not only to drive economic growth but also to sustain philanthropic interventions through her non-profit initiative, Chioma Lynda Onwuka Charity Foundation also known as Clo Foundation.
Speaking on the philosophy behind her business model, Onwuka emphasized that diversification was never solely about commercial expansion.
“Our diversified business structure was intentionally built to create lasting impact. By operating across multiple sectors, we generate the resources needed to reach more people and give back more effectively to our local communities through our charitable organization,” she said.
Under Chioma’s leadership, CLO Group has expanded into several sectors including agriculture, real estate, beauty and wellness, Fashion, Perfumes, wines, water, industrials manufacturing, and Paper mill.
The Clo Foundation is the group’s charitable arm, which focuses on humanitarian outreach in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Projects so far include but not limited to youth skill empowerment, community development, and social advocacy, healthcare services, Gender Equality Awareness, environmental sustainability initiatives, Hunger Alleviation, Education scholarships scheme etc.
Through its initiatives, the foundation has supported Orphans, widows, widowers; mentored young leaders, and provided humanitarian interventions aimed at improving the lives of underserved populations.
Clo’s philosophy aligns with broader global calls for businesses to contribute meaningfully to community development and sustainable growth. By linking corporate expansion with philanthropy, she argues that businesses can become catalysts for long-term societal transformation.
“When businesses grow, communities should grow with them.”
